Next Match: at home to Valladolid, December 22
Joan Capdevila is eyeing all three points when Espanyol entertain Valladolid on Saturday, their last game before the Christmas break. The former Spain international hopes the team can depart for the holidays with half the amount of points they will need to avoid relegation come the end of the season. Espanyol have not won at home in the last two months but Capdevila underlined the importance of returning to winning ways at Cornella-El Prat on Saturday. The full-back told reporters: "Our aim is to pick up three points against Valladolid. We would then have 22 points, half the amount we need, and it would calm us down a bit, and mean we can head into January raring to go."
