Next Match: away to Mallorca, November 22 Almeria beat Osasuna 2-0 before the international break to move up to 11th place in the Primera Division after 10 matches. The Andalusians now sit five points clear of the relegation zone, but face a tough fixture away to in-form Mallorca on Sunday. Mallorca has won all five home matches so far this season, but midfielder Hernan Bernadello believes Almeria can get a result on the island. "It will be hard, but if we play like we did against Atletico Madrid or Malaga, we can get a positive result in Mallorca," he said. Almeria tied 2-2 at Atletico and beat Malaga 2-1 away from home, but lost the other three games on the road narrowly at Sporting Gijon, Barcelona and Zaragoza. Chico was injured against Osasuna, but has recovered during the international break and will be available, but Henok Goitom is still sidelined and Fabian Vargas is out with a long-term problem. |
