Next Match: away to Bayern Munich, November 22 Bayer Leverkusen coach Jupp Heynckes will show no sympathy when he returns to his former club Bayern Munich Sunday. Heynckes led Bayern for the last five games of last season when Jurgen Klinsmann was sacked and four wins and a draw took the Bavarians into the Champions League. He has extended his unbeaten streak since taking over at Leverkusen in the summer and now wants to lead his new club to its first win against Bayern since 1989 to cement its place at the top of the Bundesliga. "Why shouldn't we win in Munich?" he asked. Striker Stefan Kiessling, who has scored six times already this season, made a rare start for the Germany national team Wednesday. |
