Next Match: at home to Eintracht Frankfurt, November 06 Bayer Leverkusen is now leading the way at the top of the Bundesliga after a 2-2 tie at Schalke took it one point clear of rivals Hamburg, but for director of sport Rudi Voller, there was more in the game than just a point. "This is a 2-2 defeat," he said. "With all respect for the strength and passion that Felix (Magath) has injected into Schalke, we would have deserved to win the game. When you are as dominant as we were in the first half, then you have reason to be annoyed." Leverkusen will now look to move four points clear at the top of the table and ensure its place at the summit for another fortnight by beating Eintracht Frankfurt Friday night, leaving the chasing pack no chance to catch them before the break for international matches. |
