Eintracht Frankfurt

Next Match: away to Bayer Leverkusen, November 06 Eintracht Frankfurt is on alert for a new striker after it emerged that Ioannis Amanatidis could be out for longer than thought. The Greek forward is suffering from a knee injury and further tests are due to be carried out which may reveal that he needs an operation. "Should he be out beyond the winter, then we will have to find a new striker for the second half of the season," said coach Michael Skibbe to the Bild newspaper. Skibbe is also without Patrick Ochs for this weekend's game against Leverkusen. The full-back broke his ribs in the game against Bochum last weekend and, even with a protective body suit, it would be too soon for him to return. Instead, he will be given the whole of the international break to get back to full fitness. |
