Michael Gehlken
Michael Gehlken is the sports editor of the UC Davis campus newspaper, the California Aggie. A San Diego native, he recently spent a summer interning for San Diego Magazine, where he deviously convinced his editor that it’d be better to assign him feature articles on his favorite Chargers and Padres players than it would be on dining and fashion. After meeting former Phoenix Suns all-star point guard Kevin Johnson on an airplane, Michael worked as the player-turned-principal's journalism adviser at Sacramento High School. Still but a college student, Michael looks forward to the many decades to come in the sports writing business and encourages everyone to fly Southwest Airlines, where you never know who will sit by you next.Send Michael a question or comment for potential use in a future column or webcast. |
