Valencia ended Atletico Madrid's unbeaten start to the season in their 10th match and they did it with style thanks to captain Roberto Soldado. In the 20th minute, Soldado opened the scoring with an excellent volley from a bit of an angle inside the box. It was a beautiful piece of skill and proved to be enough to beat Atletico on its own, but Valencia added a second goal at the end of injury time for a 2-0 win.
