Millwall fans fight police and each other during FA Cup semifinal loss to Wigan

Wigan were criticized for falling to sell their full allocation of 30,000 tickets for their FA Cup semfinal at Wembley (despite it being a 200-mile trip for a game that was on TV for a fanbase that averages around 18,000 attendees at home games). Yet it was the Millwall supporters among the 66,000 spectators who earned negative press on Saturday, thanks to incidents of the kind of hooliganism for which the club is stereotyped.

With around 20 minutes left to play, reports of fighting between Millwall fans circulated. These were soon confirmed by TV images of violence, including attacks on police officers.

The moronic fan above thought it was pretty funny to steal a police woman's hat during the malaise, but was probably unaware that millions of people on TV were sharing the 'joke'.

Since the late 1970s, the Championship club's reputation has been tarnished by a certain contingent of their fanbase, who prioritize creating violence over enjoying football. Their famous chant of "No one likes us, we don't care" celebrates their anti-social repute, and has even been used on the team's shirts.

The game finished 2-0 to a dominant Wigan thanks to goals from Shaun Maloney and Callum McManaman, earning the Premier League side their first ever FA Cup Final appearance. Sadly, news of the favorite winning a low-key cup semi-final is likely to be overshadowed by the behavior of the South Londoners who couldn't keep their fists to themselves.
