This is how far Maple Leafs fans will go for good hockey (Photo)

The Tampa Bay Lightning visited the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night for an exciting one-goal affair that saw the Kings win again, 3-2.

The stakes were high. The tension was palpable. The hockey was watchable. All of which are foreign concepts these days for fans of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

So a group of Leafs fans attended the game at Staples Center, and brought along this sign; letting all the Los Angles Kings fans know that much like the pioneers before them, they’ve journeyed many miles west for the promise of peace and prosperity. And while many of those pioneers died of cholera and typhoid fever, these fans were able to purchase a $10 beer. Bonus!

That's a 2,200-mile journey to see good hockey. Probably for prices slightly lower than Leafs tickets as well.
