Patrick Kane owns ridiculous hands, uses them in shootout vs. Penguins (Video)

Valentine’s Day was Saturday, but please allow us this brief romantic poetry inspired by Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks and his shootout goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday:

“How do I love thee? Let me count the dekes.

I love thy attempt with the stick and the trick and the flick/

The Flower can reach, when the move is that sick/

For the ends of the game and ideal goal.”

Or, the abridged version: Patrick Kane moved his hands like Neo blocking bullets in “The Matrix” and scored a ridiculous shootout goal in a 2-1 win over the Penguins.

Kane, the NHL’s leading scorer with 63 points, is now six of nine in the shootout, trailing only Jakob Silfverberg of the Ducks in shootout goals with eight.

Marc-Andre Fleury and Corey Crawford gave up five goals on the six shootout attempts they faced, with Crawford’s glove save on Kris Letang the only stop and the most critical one.
