Pascal Dupuis takes 13 seconds to score in return to Penguins lineup (Video)

Pascal Dupuis missed the last two games for the Pittsburgh Penguins after deciding to be sure symptoms he was feeling were not related to blood clots.

He returned for Wednesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens and didn't take long to get on the scoresheet, putting home a Sidney Crosby pass 13 seconds into the game.

After playing five games following the appearance of blood clot symptoms a year ago, Dupuis promised his family he would be more cautious in the future, which is why he got checked out immediately when he noticed something was up last week, as he told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

“That's why we went through all that process in the last three days, to make sure,” Dupuis said. “I remember what I did last year. I remember not speaking up for what happened and how I felt. It's something I promised my wife and kids that I will never do again.

“Something didn't add up. I spoke out. That's why I didn't play the last two games. I'd rather be safe than sorry. That's why I spoke up.”
