NHL already sold out of John Scott All-Star Game shirts

Say, would you like an official Shea Weber NHL All-Star Game shirt, considering the game is in Nashville? Plenty of those left.

Maybe an official Patrick Kane NHL All-Star Game shirt, for the League’s leading scorer? Hurry, supplies are limited!

What about, say, the captain of the Pacific Division NHL All-Star team? Maybe you’d like his official T-shirt?

Well, you’re going to have to wait. Shop NHL is actually sold out of John Scott shirts, four days before the All-Star Game in Nashville.

Scott, you'll recall, was the subject of a fan campaign* to get a player known more for punching than for scoring elected to this year's All-Star campaign. After some uncertainty, he was confirmed as a captain.

As of Wednesday, the NHL only had one size of John Scott shirts in stock: Small, which is ironic considering he’s a Murdersaurus. But as of Thursday morning, Shop NHL was sold out.

We’ll go ahead and assume this was the NHL underestimating demand, but then again maybe the John Scott All-Star captaincy actually did drive this much interest in getting his gear.

We’re hopping on a flight to Nashville now, and will report on the gear situation when we arrive. In the meantime, get your John Scott shirt fix here, with a portion of proceeds being donated to Hockey Helps the Homeless.

(* a campaign for which we were a catalyst.)
