Kyle Okposo's slick shootout goal helps Islanders beat Flyers (Video)

The New York Islanders beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 after a shootout Tuesday night. There was only one goal scored in the skills competition and it was by Kyle Okposo.

The Islanders forward entered the shootout having succeeded in 10 of his last 17 attempts, and as you can see in the way he beat former teammate Michal Neuvirth it’s no wonder he’s been so good at them lately.

The current NHL shootout king, Frans Nielsen, scored twice in regulation, but was denied in his attempt before Okposo netted the winner. Okposo is now 13-for-32 in his career, while Nielsen dropped to 41-for-77, good enough for a 53.2-percent success rate.
