Jack Eichel steals, snipes, continues to dazzle for Sabres (Video)

Should Jack Eichel be able to make it look this easy, this soon?

The second overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft scored his second career goal in his third career game on Monday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, and it was an awesome display of two-way talent.

Eichel tried a pass to the Jackets’ crease that failed, the Columbus transitioned the other way with Boone Jenner. Eichel hustled back and stole the puck. He skated wide down the left wing, watching defenseman Kevin Connauton track him for an attempted blocked shot. Not only does Eichel time his shot perfectly, he places it perfectly – top shelf, far corner, over the shoulder of Sergei Bobrovsky for an unassisted beauty.

Again … this is an 18 year old, and this was his third NHL game.

Connor McDavid, meanwhile has gone two games without a goal, for those interested in the New Crosby vs. Ovechkin.

More importantly, it was the Sabres; first win of the season, 4-2 over the Jackets, who are really working hard in their battle with the Bruins to see who will sacrifice their coach to the Hockey Gods first.
