One day (we hope), the Teddy Bear Toss promotion will find itself in NHL arenas on annual basis. Until then, we’ll just have to enjoy the lower levels of hockey holding this fantastic event that benefits local charities.

On Saturday night, the ECHL’s Florida Everblades held their Teddy Bear Toss Night, which ended with a 5-4 win over the Indy Fuel. The home fans didn’t have to wait long to show off their arms as Adam Brace, who would end up netting a hat trick, opened the scoring 3:45 into the game.

That wasn’t the only hightlight of the night. The Everblades wore special jerseys for the occasion, full of cute, cuddly teddy bears:

Following the game, the jerseys were auctioned off benefiting the Golisano Children's Hospital of southwest Florida.

That’s some nice detail.

The Everblades, you might recall, have a knack for wearing some very creative jersey designs.
