Fleury out indefinitely with second concussion of season
Before the Pittsburgh Penguins took to the ice against the New York Islanders in Brooklyn, the team dropped a bomb on reporters regarding goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.

Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury will be sidelined indefinitely after being diagnosed with his second concussion of the season.
Coach Mike Sullivan said today that the team does not yet know the severity of Fleury's injury, or how long he might be out. General manager Jim Rutherford said the Penguins expect to get an update on his condition Monday.
"Marc wasn't feeling well when he came to the rink [Friday] and we sent him to see our doctors," Sullivan said. "He was diagnosed with a concussion [Friday] afternoon, so he's not with us right now."
The Penguins did not indicate when Fleury sustained the concussion. He played the entirety of the game against Nashville on March 31 in which Pittsburgh won.
Molinari notes this is Fleury's second concussion of the season. He missed eight games in December with a concussion.

Something that caught our eye in both reports of Fleury's concussion. The player himself went to Pittsburgh's medical team to report he wasn't feeling well. From there the team evaluated him and went through the concussion protocol.
High marks to Fleury for going to the trainers when he knew something wasn't right. As shown in the NHL concussion emails released earlier this week, and from what fans know in general, players tend to play through their medical issues, especially at this time of year.
Regardless, the loss is big for the Penguins.
As the Penguins struggled to find their footing this season, Fleury was a stabilizing force in the lineup. Prior to the injury, he played in and started 58 games for Pittsburgh. He posted a 35-17-6 record with 2.29 goals against, .921 save percentage, and five shutouts.
The team will lean on Fleury's backup, Matt Murray, until he No. 1 netminder returns. In eight games this season, Murray has a 5-2-1 record with 2.09 GAA and .926 SV%. Murray had spent a majority of the season in the AHL with Wilkes-Barre Scranton where he was 20-9-1. He supplanted Jeff Zatkoff as the No. 2; who will now serve as Murray's backup.
The Penguins defeated the Islanders 5-0 in a Saturday matinee. With the win, the franchise clinches a playoff sport for the tenth consecutive season. It's the second longest streak behind Detroit.
