Filip Forsberg scores gorgeous between-the-legs goal (Video)

Nashville Predators forward Filip Forsberg scored a gorgeous ‘between-the-legs’ goal in his team’s Tuesday night game against the Colorado Avalanche.

At the 10:19 mark of the first period Forsberg ended up with the puck on his backhand in front of Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov. Forsberg switched quickly to his forehand between his legs and roofed the puck past Varlamov’s glove for the goal.

Nashville television analyst Stu Grimson called it a "dreadful dangle."

The score was Forsberg’s 32nd of the season, bringing him one goal away from tying Jason Arnott’s Nashville single-season record of 33 set in 2008-09. The goal was Forsberg’s first in five games.

"I think it's something that obviously you can't really just throw it out any time," Forsberg said after the game. "It kind of just came to me. I was just trying to get the puck as fast as I could basically to the net, and sometimes that's the fanciest way too."

Nashville beat the Avalanche 4-3, elminating Colorado from playoff contention.

"Today I am very disappointed," Avalanche coach Patrick Roy said following the loss. "I'm sure we're going to have plenty of time to talk about it, but I mean it's not what we expect from this team. We expect more from this team."

The Predators are locked into the top Wild Card spot and will face either the Los Angeles Kings, Sharks or Anaheim Ducks in the first-round of the playoffs.

In the postseason, no doubt Forsberg will be quite the weapon for Nashville against any of those California teams.
