Crazy hockey dad shatters glass while screaming at players (Video)

This video, discovered by Deadspin, depicts a moment of amazing passion by a dedicated hockey parent.

OK … it features a dad’s mutant-like, freakish strength as he shatters the rink glass with one hard slap.

Which prompted someone in the crowd to unleash the single most sarcastic response to an embarrassing act in the history of video or embarrassment:

“WAY TO GO, PAULLLLLLLLLLLL!!!”

As Deadspin noted, there’s not a lot of context here. Which is fine. Because we don’t know the players, we don’t know the refs, we don’t know the coaches or the rink or the town.

But we know a hockey dad blew up the glass with the force of Zdeno Chara riding a rhino into it. And that’s good enough for us.

The arena, located at 941 Vander Ave., is owned by the City of York, but managed by the York Revolution. This past weekend, it was the site of a youth hockey tournament, said Revs president Eric Menzer, who confirmed the footage was shot at the arena.

"This is another unfortunate example of the totally ridiculous obsession of some parents with youth sports," Menzer said.

Menzer said the man, who is from Florida, will be required to pay for the damage and is banned from the arena. York City Police were not called to the arena, he said.

The arena managers said that the parent was -- wait for it -- upset over a referee's decision on the ice.
