Mad Dash: Oregon State assistant drinks 16-18 Diet Cokes per da

Most of us can admit to having a bad habit or two, which makes it easy to understand when other people have a problem like drinking too much coffee, or biting their nails, or stashing chocolate in their desk drawers. But Oregon State assistant football coach Dave Baldwin may have us all beat. Baldwin revealed in a profile in the Oregonian that he drinks 16-18 Diet Cokes per day, or about the same amount he can fit in his office mini fridge.

Baldwin will gulp back 16-18 cans of Diet Coke per day, sometimes even awaking in the middle of the night to grab a refreshing swig.

"Every man has a vice, and if he doesn't, then he's lying to you," Baldwin said. "And this is my vice."

It could certainly be worse. Baldwin said the habit started because his father was a diabetic, and it's now gone on for over two decades. Though we feel like this is where we should add that when you drink that many, it definitely removes many, if not all, of the benefits of drinking a single diet soda in place of a regular one. But hey, if it works for Baldwin, who are we to argue?

Ole Miss head basketball coach Andy Kennedy seems to be enjoying his preseason promotional spots, and his latest may be the best. Kennedy dresses up as some sort of old school alter ego, but then dances to "Watch Me" with essentially no shame. It's tremendous, and if the team shows up as fearless on the court as their coach does on the dance floor, it could be a good year in Oxford.

Would you like to watch Tony Stewart using a flamethrower? Of course you would. The NASCAR driver periscoped himself using the terrifying contraption on Wednesday, and NBC on NASCAR was quick enough to record it and send it out to Twitter. Sit back and enjoy the bizarreness.
