The NBA’s most-recent 2013-14 promotion features a gaggle of young stars (Video)

If you’ve been watching the MLB playoffs on TBS this month, you’ve no doubt noticed the advertisements hyping the NBA’s upcoming tipoff week with stars like LeBron James, Derrick Rose, Steve Nash and Blake Griffin heading the adverts. Those are the sorts of names that tend to lure viewers to nationally-televised, mid-week cable broadcasts, or the Sunday broadcast TV airings that will spark up in the winter.

In the NBA’s latest ad, though, the league has thrown us League Pass obsessives a bone, highlighting the work of some of the league’s brighter young stars, lighting up NBA arenas to the tune of The Steeles’ (so close) “This Little Light of Mine.” Watch:

The NBA was kind enough, for those of you that end to watch just the Sunday afternoon affairs, the particulars placed in this clip: 2012-13 Rookie of the Year Damian Lillard, Butler product Gordon Hayward, Pistons big man Greg Monroe, Golden State sophomore Harrison Barnes, 2009 top overall draft pick John Wall, 2013 All-Star Jrue Holiday, Bobcats scorer Kemba Walker, Denver poster-creator Kenneth Faried, Cavaliers star Kyrie Irving, Grizzlies sage Mike Conley Jr., and Indiana swingman Paul George.

The league is good, young, hands. Do tune in.
