Photo: Matt Kemp handed 2011 NL MVP by rogue TV graphics person

Well, everyone knows Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers, and not Matt Kemp of the Los Angeles Dodgers, won the NL MVP in 2011. What this graphic presupposes is, maybe he didn't?

This presumably isn't the work of Eli Cash, author of the hypothetical classic "Old Custer," but instead that of a rogue TV graphics person working for Fox Sports West on a recent Dodgers-Los Angeles Angels' Cactus League affair. Kemp might very well have deserved the MVP, but Braun won it, even after the notorious mix-up regarding the botched shipping of the trophy from a FedEx office in Wisconsin. That was the story, right?

Coming tomorrow: Graphic in Phillies game declares Roy Halladay winner of 2011 NL Cy Young.
