Jimmy Rollins gives Uganda’s Little League team its own special day at Phillies game (Photo)

When all is said and done, this might be the best baseball picture of 2012. It'll be mine, anyway. The Little League team from Uganda was hosted by Jimmy Rollins at Tuesday's Phillies-Mets game and this shot of its members donning Phillie Phanatic caps before being introduced on field is just wonderful. It may not look like much at first glance, but I see all the anticipation, hope, improbability and fun that went into this group of boys becoming the first African team to win a game in Williamsport.

Sam Donnellon of the Philadelphia Inquirer has a great recap of Uganda's day at Citizens Bank Park and how it came to be (definitely worth a read) while Nick Menta of The 700 Level shares his favorite moment of the night. Oh, and here's the team dancing with the actual Phanatic, which is sure to leave you with a lasting smile.
