Moose Jaw Warriors, Seattle Thunderbirds engage in line brawl (VIDEO)

It's odd how there can be hostility between teams that only play once a season.

On Tuesday, a check from behind by the Seattle Thunderbirds' Keegan Kolesar on the Moose Jaw Warriors' Brandon Potomak precipated a fracas between the Western Hockey League teams, with several altercations breaking out on the ice.

Seattle's Evan Wardley and Kevin Wolf, along with Medicine Hat's Scott Cooke and Spenser Jensen, all got the fighting majors during the melee. A tip of the cap is due to linesman Nick Bilko (no. 66), who seemed to have a pretty good handle on defusing the situation.

Seattle ended up winning 3-2 in the breakaway relay for its seventh consecutive win, as it stayed right on the hip of the third-place Victoria Royals in the Western Conference race. Victoria has a one-point lead while spotting Seattle a game in a hand.
