TSN's English Premier League pregame show had special guest on ahead of Monday's matchup between Arsenal and Hull City.

Noel Gallagher, the former Oasis frontman who's in Toronto on tour for his solo act, joined Kristian Jack for a few minutes of soccer talk. It was relatively subdued for a Gallagher appearance, no cursing or particularly strong opinions. Instead he was a little more subtle with his shots.

The conversation focused mostly around Manchester City, Gallagher's favourite club, ranging from their first Premier League title in 2012, their form this season, and what the future holds for the current core. He came across as a passionate and informed fan.

When a few questions about the other top Premier League sides came his way, that's when the Gallagher we've became accustomed to seeing leapt into action.

He said Chelsea, who clinched the league title Sunday, were "deserved champions," but added that he wouldn't want Jose Mourinho running City. Then he took a dig at Arsenal by saying that they're a team no one cares about. Gallagher saved his most disdainful comments for City's crosstown rival Manchester United, blasting their most recent signings and calling manager Louis van Gaal "not very good."

Overall it was exactly what you would expect from the bombastic rock star.
