Video: Mike Reilly throws a football through three airbourne tires at a Reebok photo shoot

What do you do if you have a whole bunch of CFL players together in the offseason? Well, why not have them toss tires for a quarterback to throw a football through! That's what happened at a photo shoot a few weeks back for Reebok's CFL authentic sideline apparel collection, featuring the likes of Edmonton Eskimos' quarterback Mike Reilly, Winnipeg Blue Bombers' defensive end Jason Vega, B.C. Lions' linebacker Adam Bighill, Hamilton Tiger-Cats' defensive tackle Brian Bulcke and many more. Here's the behind-the-scenes video, via the CFL's YouTube account:

Those are some pretty impressive throws by Reilly, especially the third one, and some nice tosses by Vega, Bighill and Bulcke. Those don't appear to be terribly-light tires. Videos like this reinforce the calibre of athletes competing in the CFL at the moment (which is pretty impressive), and they show that these guys can do some pretty impressive things on a football field. Of course, all the trick-shot videos in the world don't matter much if you can't execute on the field, but Reilly's shown he can do that too, completing 11 of 12 passes for 117 yards and a touchdown in Edmonton's first preseason game against B.C. Friday. He was able to stay on his feet, too, as the Eskimos' once-porous line looked a lot better in that game. There are apparently more videos to come from this shoot, so keep an eye out for those, but this certainly isn't a bad start.
