Wilson Chandler wants to return to the Nuggets

Forward Wilson Chandler is still finishing out his contract with China's Zhejiang Guangsha, but when he is free to return to the NBA, he plans to sign on with his former team, the Denver Nuggets, according to Yahoo! Sports' Marc J. Spears.

Chandler's agent, Chris Luchey, told Spears that there is "significant interest" from other teams in Chandler, but the 6-8 24-year-old prefers to be back in the Mile High City.

"Wilson likes their direction and the stabilization of their roster in Denver with the young talent," Luchey told Spears. "He wants to see how they develop as a team. It's a unique situation. The ball is in their court. If Wilson is comfortable, he will be a part of their core group."

And Denver GM Masai Ujiri, who is planning to visit Chandler in China for the regular-season finale on Feb. 15 or during the postseason, says the team is interested in binging back the restricted free agent, Spears reports.
