    • Report: Josh Brent's blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit

DALLAS – The Dallas Cowboys lineman at the wheel of the fatal crash that killed his teammate on Dec. 8 had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit, according to a Dallas Morning News report.

Josh Brent arrives at a memorial service for teammate Jerry Brown on Tuesday. (AP)Third-year nose tackle Josh Brent failed a field sobriety test and refused a breathalyzer test at the scene, according to a police affidavit. But authorities were able to order his blood drawn because the wreck killed Cowboys linebacker Jerry Brown Jr.

According to the newspaper, the blood test revealed a 0.18 level, well above Texas' .08 threshold for driving drunk.

"That's approximately 14 drinks or so for a man his size," Dwain Fuller, a forensic toxicologist who has testified as an expert witness in court cases for more than 25 years, told Yahoo! Sports. Brent is listed at 6-foot-2, 320 pounds.

Fuller, who is not connected to the case, said the estimated number of drinks Brent consumed could vary depending on his history with alcohol and how long he'd been drinking prior

    • Rangers fan ejected after throwing ball near Matt Holliday

ejectionARLINGTON, Texas — Seeing your team getting shellacked in Game 3 of the World Series can apparently rob some folks of their common sense.

With the Cardinals leading 14-6 in the seventh inning on Saturday night, an unidentified Texas Rangers fan tried to get in on the action by slinging a Wiffle Ball onto the field while Matt Holliday positioned himself for a ball hit by Nelson Cruz.

Holliday made the out and later said he didn't even see the ball. But the white foreign object coming from the bleachers certainly got center fielder Jon Jay's attention. It also saw a concerned Tony LaRussa bolt from the Cardinals dugout for an explanation.

Fox replayed the incident to a national TV audience and also showed the scene as Texas Rangers security plucked the fan and his friend from their front-row seats.

Fans jeered the unidentified man as he was escorted up the aisle.

A handful of Rangers security guards flanked by a few Arlington police officers then surrounded the man and his friend,

    • Fans denied access to seats at Super Bowl

ARLINGTON, Texas – Angry fans outside a Cowboys Stadium fence chanted "Let us in!," "Jerry sucks!" and "We want seats!" while being denied inside access for Super Bowl XLV on Sunday.

After initially being turned away at the gate, approximately 850 fans with tickets in temporary seating sections were relocated to similar or better seats for the game between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

After the game started, the NFL said another 400 fans who were not accommodated with seats in the stadium were eventually taken inside to watch the game on monitors in the North Field Club behind the Pittsburgh bench.

"They also had the option of viewing the game from standing room platforms in each corner of the stadium," the league said in a statement. "In addition, these fans will each receive a refund of triple the cost of the face value of their ticket. The face value of these tickets is $800."
